It combines online theory with practical training and assessment, leading to the full EAL Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or City & Guilds 2395 qualification (dependent on the accrediting body of the test centre you select). This reduces the amount of time spent in the classroom from four days to just two.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is aimed at experienced personnel working in the electrical industry who are looking to gain an understanding of the new Electrical Installation Condition Reports. The qualification is not intended for non-qualified electricians and/or those who do not have experience in inspecting, testing and certifying electrical installations.

Candidates without this experience should consider gaining the Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and/or obtain further industry experience.

This qualification will enable you to inspect and test a range of installations in both domestic and commercial settings. It will also allow you to inspect and test existing installations carried out by other domestic installers or electricians.

In addition to the online learning, you will spend two days at an assessment centre to complete your practical training and sit an online, multiple choice exam.

You will also need to sit a theory-based written exam and complete a practical assessment on a designated date set by either EAL or City & Guilds. The cost of this is included in the course price.

The content of this course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

Duration

 

Approximately 10 Hours. It is estimated that this module will take approximately 10 hours to complete (depending on learning speed). As an e-learning module you can complete this training in convenient stages. The system will record your progress throughout. You have six months to complete the training and associated test.
