This course covers an extensive range of subjects that are necessary to understand the specific presentation of childhood diabetes and the clinical and psychological needs of different age groups of children and young people.

This course has been adapted from the SWEET Project EU for use in the UK. This course contains training to the standard of the NHS Diabetes National Curriculum for the Training of Healthcare Professionals Level 1 (March 2013) and provides a framework for future continuing professional development and lifelong learning.

This course has been adapted from the SWEET Project EU for use in the UK, The SWEET Project EU ran from 2008 to 2011 to improve standards of care for children and young people with diabetes. This course contains training to the standard of the NHS Diabetes National Curriculum for the Training of Healthcare Professionals Level 1 (March 2013). The content of this course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

On completion of this course you will be able to download a College certificate.

Duration

Approximately two and a half to three and a half hours. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly you can study and absorb the material. You can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like.
